Clinical Risk Management

Clinical Risk Management is the ongoing process of identifying, assessing, responding to, and documenting risk in a manner that supports client safety, ethical practice, and quality care. It is an essential component of "everyday" clinical practice across all phases of treatment.

This section of the Talkspace Provider Help Center includes guidance, resources, and tools to support effective clinical risk management throughout the course of care. Whether you’re navigating routine clinical decision-making, addressing evolving safety concerns, or responding to high-risk situations, these resources are intended to support safe, thoughtful, and high-quality care.

Providers are responsible for managing client care in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, professional and ethical standards, scope of practice expectations, and Talkspace policies and procedures.

Important Reminder: If a client is experiencing an immediate safety concern or emergency, providers should initiate an appropriate response without delay.
