The Clinical Risk Management Team partners with Talkspace providers to support safe, thoughtful, and high-quality care when clinical risk or safety concerns arise.

The team provides consultation, guidance, education, and practical resources to help providers navigate clinical risk throughout the course of treatment.

The Clinical Risk Management Team can support providers with questions and concerns related to:

Safety & Risk Concerns

  • Suicide or self-harm concerns
  • Violence or other safety concerns
  • Evolving or complex risk situations
  • Mandated reporting considerations

Higher Level of Care (HLOC) Recommendations & Referrals

  • Questions about HLOC assessment
  • Referral and care coordination considerations
  • Barriers to accessing a recommended level of care

Adverse Incidents

  • Questions about reportable events
  • Adverse Incident Reporting requirements
  • Follow-up, review, and debriefing after an incident

Provider Safety & Boundary Concerns

If a client is experiencing an immediate safety concern or emergency, do not wait for a response from the Clinical Risk Management Team. Providers should initiate an appropriate response without delay based on the circumstances and level of risk.
